Dyslexia Assessment
Our dyslexia assessment involves a series of targeted assessments using standardized testing that help determine if your child is at risk for a dyslexia diagnosis. Initial Consultation
During the initial consultation, we gather detailed background information about your child’s early development, academic history, and any concerns you may have. This helps us ensure testing is warranted and would be helpful for your child.
Assessment Process
The assessment involves administering standardized tests and gathering observational data to evaluate your child’s reading, writing, and language abilities.
Feedback Session
We understand the urgency of addressing your child’s needs, so we will contact you within a week after the testing is completed to schedule a session to discuss the results, either in person or over the phone. During this meeting, we provide a comprehensive report detailing the findings and offer practical recommendations to support your child’s learning journey.

Is this the same testing the schools provide?
No. Schools generally test a child to determine eligibility for school-based services, such as an Individualized Education Plan (IEP). They do not typically provide dyslexia evaluations.
Is this the same testing psychologists provide?
No, it is not the same. Psychologists provide a formal diagnostic identification of dyslexia. In contrast, we offer educational assessments designed to determine if a child presents similarly as a child with dyslexia or is at risk of having a dyslexia diagnosis. Our assessments provide a detailed analysis of the child’s specific challenges and offer strategies to help them succeed.
